Darwin International Jazz & Arts Festival

Artists included the internationally renowned Vince Jones and Band; award-winning Australian pianist/composer Charlie Chan; special guest writer/author/cartoonist Michael Leunig performing, speaking, and painting live; the Darwin Symphony Orchestra String Quartet with song man Archer and blues artist Kankawa (Olive Knight); Charlie Chan’s Music For Dogs experience; international artists from Timor Leste, Taiwan and Bali.

The Festival took-over the entirety of the Centre becoming an indoor/outdoor festival setup, ending in an ‘under the stars’ experience with the sounds of different cultures and mainstream established artists all sharing in a celebration of this country, in a unique environment.
