Skinnyfish Music (SFM) is much more than a record label and our vision is to develop and promote positive, long-term outcomes for indigenous people and communities through music.  At SFM, we undertake community development projects that help us achieve the following:

  • elevate music as a tool for community development / community capacity building;
  • provide opportunities and outlets for indigenous people and communities;
  • enter into partnerships with artists and their communities to develop both artistic product and business entities that the artist or community own and control; and
  • continually raise the standard of interaction between indigenous musicians and commercial enterprises.

Skinnyfish Music regularly completes projects for various health and educational organisations and an array of government departments.  Examples of videos that demonstrate some of our project work are below.  It is free to view some of these videos, whereas others need a password until we have complete authority to release these broadly on the Internet.  Talk with Skinnyfish Music today if you have a project that you’d like us to work on with you and you think fits our vision.
