Michael Hohnen and Mark Grose named #21 on Australian music industry ’power’ list

After two years in the development, Street Press Australia (SPA) and theMusic.com this week presented the inaugural AMID Power 50 - a celebration of the most powerful people in the Australian music industry. The Australasian Music Industry Directory [AMID] team and industry consultants spent many an hour compiling the list and whittling it down to 50, releasing details on the 3rd of July.

Michael Hohnen and Mark Grose were named on the list and ranked #21.

Hohnen/Grose - Skinnyfish co-founders are perhaps best known for the triumph of Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, an amazing musical talent from a remote indigenous community that would have otherwise gone unnoticed by the rest of the world. Their passion and drive with Gurrumul is outstanding, but it’s not all that Skinnyfish can be thanked for. They’ve given Australia voices that it had forgotten it had.
