This fascinating hardback photographic book tells the uplifting story of the Tiwi Islands Football Grand Final, the most important day of the year in this isolated Aboriginal community located in the Timor Sea some 80km's north of Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory.

Tiwi Footy Yiloga has taken four years to produce, with great support from the Tiwi Islands people. It's 256 pages feature photojournalistic images of everything to do with the big day, from the church blessing and game preparations through to the game itself and its emotional aftermath.

The images are the work of Territory photographers Monica Napper and Peter Eve, and are accompanied by a 6000 word essay written by acclaimed Territory writer Andrew McMillan which has also been translated in the Tiwi language.
